Yesterday was Truth.
There is an insanely misguided idea in postmodern ideology that there is no such thing as objective reality. It is true that everything we know is filtered through such a cognitive maze that it’s impossible to know with perfect certainty exactly what the truth is, but there is an objective reality and it is knowable, more or less.
Thankfully we have developed methodology in two disciplines to minimize our inevitable subjectiveness and allow us to vastly increase our confidence in the correlation between our qualia and this elusive objective reality. These institutions are science and journalism, both perfected over centuries to combat our biases.
In my philosophy, sanctified in this trinity of Hollydays, Truth, however imperfect, is the ultimate value. To me, the current assaults on these institutions are the most evil developments of our topsy turvy times. Please Forgive me when I condemn members of my own tribe for citing dubious evidence to support positions that I may nonetheless agree with.
